Designed to encase solder-cup, crimp, and IDC-style D-Sub plugs and sockets, this two-piece shell shields fragile pin terminations from physical strain, dust, and environmental wear.
Available in standard lightweight ABS plastic for everyday serial connections or metalized/die-cast zinc alloy for superior EMI/RFI noise shielding. Each hood kit includes internal compression cable clamps to absorb pulling forces on individual wires, along with standard side thumbscrews/jackscrews to lock the connector firmly into mating female panel jacks.
